Beauty Is Health News to Introduce Bicycle Beauty – part of online comic series related to beauty and health

Beauty Is Health News has been busy preparing “Bicycle Beauty,” a comic about the life of a 17 year old girl who struggles in an automobile society to live a car-free life. Follow her trials and tribulations as she dodges traffic, evades the beauty and health risks of second hand car smoke, fights city hall for bicycle paths and designs bicycle clothes, bicycle towns and bicycle skyways.

Commenting on “Bicycle Beauty” is the illustrator and author of the comic, Mark Stansberry. “Bicycle Beauty addresses the serious issue of bicycle safety in the United States. In the United States, pedestrian and bicycle rights have been seriously neglected. Bicyclists, like Bicycle Beauty, must endure dangers every day, from irate car drivers to caustic second hand car smoke, not to mention bicycle hungry dogs, speeding autos and oversized diesel trucks. Bicycle Beauty has set out to correct all this and more. She envisions a day when bicycles have their own roads complete with bicycle cafes where she can rest far away from the noise and pollution of cars.

Central to the theme of Bicycle Beauty is beauty and health. Readers can learn what beauty products to use to protect them against the harmful effects of second hand car smoke. Skin care, hair care and general nutrition advise is integrated into the comic to help deal with beauty and health issues of bicyclists. Safety tips for bicycle riding are also included. Readers can also learn from bicycle beauty how to design clothes, fix bicycles and promote bicycle transportation.

In an online blog format, readers can also comment on Bicycle Beauty, share beauty tips and bicycle stories.

Beauty Is Health News Announces National Highway Bicycle Coalition Network– to promote coast to coast bicycle traveling

Beauty Is Health News in its efforts to promote beauty and health has formed the National Highway Bicycle Coalition Network(NHBCN). The goal of the NHBC is to interconnect the bike pathways across the United States into one cohesive network. According to Mark Stansberry, the goal is to provide safe and healthy transportation alternatives to the bicycling community from the local level to the national level.

Presently, there are few if any bike paths that connect the major cities and parks throughout the United States. Bicycles are forced to take lengthy and unsafe routes when they want to travel from city to city or from park to park.

The NHBC envisions that one day there will be a national bike highway system that caters to bicycles and their emerging counterpart, electric bikes. The bike highway system would be supported through a network of stores, rest stops and electric charging stations. Additionally, the vision of the national bicycle system is to have the bicycle paths supported through a number or retail store outlets such as grocery stores, coffee shops and motels.

Mark Stansberry added that through the efforts of the NHBCN, one day it will be possible to actually bicycle across the United States without having to use the automobile roadways. Bicycling across the country would be not only practical but an enjoyable experience, complete with bicycle cafes, bicycle bridges and convenient and affordable lodging accommodations for bicyclists, e-bicyclists and pedestrians.

Those interested in becoming members of the coalition and promoting its efforts should contact Mark Stansberry at health@perfectdisplay.com

Skin care simplified, new clothes rejuvenate and protect the skin

For busy people, finding the time for skin care can be problematic. To help those that want healthy skin, but simply can’t find the time, SunSoul offers the blumod and yelomod clothes and fabric line. The clothes and fabric have been designed to heal, protect and rejuvenate the skin. According to Toronto cosmetic plastic surgeon, Dr. Stephen Mulholland, “The technology is revolutionary. It’s opening a door to a new realm in the
treatment of skin concerns and providing simple solutions that people can take charge of themselves.”

The benefits of skin care clothes are many.  Skin care clothes can eliminate the need for expensive and time consuming skin treatments, trips to the dermatologist and at the same time add to your wardrobe. To clear up troubled skin, SunSoul reports that you need only wear a blumod hat for a few hours a week while out in the sun.

Phototherapy, a skin rejuvenation technique that has been the subject of many clinical studies, is the basis for SunSoul’s line of hats and shirts, The clothes line come in two skincare versions, the blumod and the yelomod versions. Both versions are designed to modify lightwaves to rejuvenate skin and fight acne bacteria. The phototherapy textiles or phototextiles, filter and amplfiy different wavelengths of light such that the right mix of light is obtained for a more healthy skin envirnoment. The specific process, called Photo Dynamic Therapy or PDT for short,  results in a reaction that inhibits bacteria growth. The PDT process also does a great job at eliminating harmful ultraviolet waves; giving UPF-50 plus sun protection.

The phototextiles are composed of micro-fibers and fluorescent compounds. The fluorescent compounds in the material convert ultraviolet into into high-intensity blue light. SunSoul not only takes advantage of the fluorescent dyes to capture and convert UV light to beneficial light, but also utilize a dense knit of light lightweight microfibre nylon and spandex to block out more UV rays.

Besides improving the appearance of damaged skin and skin rejuvenation,  SunSoul says the technology has applications in hair growth stimulation.

The company offers sportswear, hats and visor that incorporate the fabric that start at $70.00. The blumod garments for clear skin and the yelomod for radiant skin are available through a select group of aesthetic physicians and dermatologists throughout Canada and through a number of companies online and offline in the United States. The material is avaiable for the construction of shirts, hats, face cloths, umbrellas, tents and home and car window filters.
